Green Mayoral candidate visits Edgeley before manifesto launch

13 April 2017

Will Patterson, the Green Party's candidate for Greater Manchester Mayor, took time out of his busy schedule recently to visit Edgeley in support of the work being put in there by Gordon Combe and the Stockport Green Party team.

Gordon commented “It was a privilege to have Will visit Edgeley and Cheadle Heath.
We were able to discuss improvements that can be made by a Green Mayor. From connecting Stockport to the Metrolink with integrated bus services that serve the needs of residents, to protecting mental health budgets. These are just some of the issues local residents have raised with me and a Green Mayor can bring real change that people want. "

Since then Will has launched his manifesto putting fairness at the heart of all his policies. These include creating accessible jobs by supporting new, green and small businesses as part of a new Green Deal; building social homes with co-operatives and local companies not big developers; cleaning up our air; preserving, enhancing our green spaces; and reducing our waste and impact on climate change.
