Local election results 2016

Whilst Green Party votes were down from the last round of similar local elections back in 2014, Stockport Green Party did manage some great results last night. Brinnington & Central candidate, James Pelham, was one of the highlights coming in second place and defeating the Conservative candidate (in a field of 3). We also finished ahead of the Liberal Democrats in Edgeley & Cheadle Heath, Heatons North, Reddish North and Reddish South. 

 

We are particularly proud of the fact that for the second year running we were able to have candidates running in all 21 wards in Stockport which wasn’t the case for the Liberal Democrats and UKIP.
