Having lived in Stockport for almost 20 years. I have developed a great affection for both my local area and Stockport as a whole. I have particularly been struck by the strong sense of community whether that be in Woodsmoor with the interest in protecting the Mirlees Fields and train station services, or throughout the town in celebrating the market and it’s musical culture.
