Stockport Green Party have been involved in numerous campaigns. One which was successful resulted in the provision of a woodland burial facility in Hignfield cemetery, Bredbury.
At present Stockport Green Party members are actively involved in a number of campaigns, such as supporting anti-fracking camps in the region and opposing major road schemes such as the A6 to Manchester Airport Relief Road which will destroy ancient woodland and we believe fail to relieve traffic problems. Members are also actively involved in local planning issues in Cheadle Hulme and Reddish Vale.
