Hi I’m James Frizzell. I am honoured to stand for re-election as a Green Party Councillor representing Reddish South in the upcoming local elections. I have lived in the ward with my wife for 26 happy years in the home we now share with our daughter and cats Jeannie and Jones.
I was elected as a councillor for the first time last year. l am particularly drawn by the kindness of Green Party values and how we do things differently. These values are important to me in my work as a Green Party councillor.
Liz, Gary and I are a close team who work together, helping our residents and promoting Green values to protect people and the planet in the council.
Most of my working life has been public facing roles from catering to banking and retail, so I get on well with people and am a good listener.
I enjoy working with our fantastic community groups such as Reddish men in sheds, Banter and Brews and Greenspace volunteers. I love putting in the effort and making a real difference to people’s lives and environment. This year I have done a lot of work in Lancashire Hill, standing up for residents and asking both the council and Stockport homes to provide a better service. I have also highlighted the problem of blocked drains and consequent flooding. I am liaising with the Highways Team to improve the drain cleaning service.
If re-elected I will continue to stand up for everyone in Reddish South, act on behalf of our residents as part of a brilliant Green team and continue to work my socks off!
